After assessing over 300 applications received from within and outside the city of Lagos, we invited the Top 10 Finalists to pitch their business ideas live on VOP 90.3 FM radio to thousands of listeners. Based on a 60/40 weighted score that combined scores from the expert judge and votes from the audience, the three winners of the maiden edition of the 3X Startup Prize are as follows: Ozioma Chioma Alagba, Founder of Rehoboth Foods (First Prize: N500,000). Erioluwa Odewumi, Founder of Yum Indulgence Bakery (Second Prize: N300,000). Uche Uzumma Elekima, Founder of Goshens Herbs (Third Prize: N200,000). In addition to the 1 Million Naira prize money, the Top 10 Finalists of the 3X Startup Prize benefit from free advertising (on web, radio, and social media) and a 4-week mentoring and coaching program with management consultant and business strategy specialist, John-Paul Iwuoha. We are confident that having emerged through the rigorous selection process and stiff competition of the 3X Startup Prize, you now have an extra dose of validation to take your business to the next level.
