GE Vernova was proud to join the 29th ICCI International Energy and Environment Fair and Conference in Istanbul recently - a key event highlighting technologies driving the global #EnergyTransition.   Our Middle East & Africa Decarbonization Leader Yasin KASIRGA spoke on the panel “Decarbonization Technologies”, sharing insights on how solutions like #Hydrogen, #CarbonSequestration, cogeneration, and #EnergyEfficiency play a vital role in accelerating #Decarbonization and achieving climate goals.   With its focus on “Powering the Future,” ICCI 2025 provided an important platform to discuss innovative approaches to #Electrification and emissions reduction across the energy sector.   At GE Vernova, we remain committed to delivering technologies that support a more secure, affordable and sustainable energy future for the region and beyond. --- Geçtiğimiz günlerde İstanbul'da düzenlenen ve küresel enerji geçişine yön veren teknolojilere odaklanan son derece önemli bir etkinlik olan 29. We are thrilled to announce that GE Vernova and TAURUS ENERGY, part of Onex Group, have signed a groundbreaking 17-year CSA agreement covering four of GE Vernova’s 9E units at the 1,250 MW Bazyan Power Plant in Sulaymaniyah, #Iraq. This deal marks an extension of over a decade of strategic collaboration between our companies, reinforcing our commitment to innovation, reliability, and efficiency. The signing ceremony, held under the patronage of H.E. Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), was attended by H.E. Kamal Mohammad Salih Khalil, KRG's Minister of #Electricity, H.E. Dara Rashid Mahmud, KRG's Minister of Planning, Mr. Steve Bitner, Consul General at the U.S. Consulate General Erbil, alongside senior officials, business leaders, and media representatives. The agreement was signed by Fadi Tabboush, GE Vernova’s General Manager for #GasPower Services in Iraq, and Sheikh Saad Tayeb Hasan, Founder & Chairman of ONEX Group. The event also witnessed the global launch of the AGP XPAND upgrade, an evolution of our renowned #AdvancedGasPath (#AGP) technology, set to be first installed at Bazyan Power Plant. This upgrade, along other initiatives at Bazyan, do not only support the growing energy needs in the #KurdistanRegion but also power other parts of the country, including the city of Mosul.
