"I am very happy to launch the "Mark's Pressure" animation movie in partnership with my dear sisters, the African First Ladies. Through our new children's storybook, we want to emphasize the importance of early detection and prevention of Hypertension. The Merck Foundation, together with the African First Ladies and Ministries of Health, provided more than 780 scholarships of one-year Diplomas and two-year's Master's Degrees in Diabetes, cardiovascular preventative and Endocrinology for doctors from 43 countries. This includes, Masters Course in Diabetes Management for French, Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries, ensuring geographical coverage to help transform the landscape of diabetes care in Africa and beyond."
