The gender digital divide is the largest, most significant barrier to the spread of an inclusive digital economy in developing countries, holding back the social and economic opportunities for women and girls. USAID and the Microsoft Airband Initiative partnered together to work with local internet service providers and technology companies across five countries to pilot gender connectivity activities with the aim to bring more women online. What learnings and effective practices emerged from this initiative and how can other connectivity providers operationalize incorporating gender programming into their work?
