Tristar Group recently signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). The MOU, signed by Tristar Group CEO Eugene Mayne and Madras Professor Venkatesh Balasubramanian, focuses on implementing a systems approach on road safety and to share expertise, capacity building, data analysis, and AI-based road safety solutions. The professor heads the institute’s Centre of Excellence for Road Safety. Also present at the signing was Tristar COO Parinjay P., GM for Road Transport & Warehousing SHIVANANDA BAIKADY, and Group HSEQ Manager Sridhar srinivasalu. This partnership is an important step forward in advancing road safety initiatives through collaboration and innovation.

Yesterday teams across Alliad came together to mark Global Health and Safety Day at Alliad, a day we've created to reinforce our shared commitment to creating safer, healthier workplaces for all of our stakeholders. Teams across Uganda, Kenya, Western Sahara, Ivory Coast, Central African Republic, and Hyderabad held critical discussions on the importance of safety and worked together to identify any potential risks proving that safety is strongest when it’s collaborative as a team. Our message this year was simple but powerful: “Be a Safety Hero, Score an Accident Zero.” Across all our operations, we took time to reflect on the importance of safety from leadership to frontline teams. We reminded ourselves that 80% of workplace accidents are caused by unsafe behaviour, with only 20% due to unsafe conditions. With our Goal Zero mindset, we strive for zero incidents, zero injuries, and zero harm. That means going back to the basics like reporting hazards, correcting unsafe actions and just supporting each other as a team. Health and Safety isn't a once-a year initiative at Alliad.
