The Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) is a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group. The driving ambition behind the creation of ICIEC was to strengthen the economic relations between member countries of the OIC on the basis of Islamic Shari'ah. ICIEC’s vision is to be recognized as the preferred enabler of trade and investment for sustainable economic development in Member Countries. Its mission is to facilitate trade and investment between member countries and the world through Shariah-compliant risk mitigation tools.

Great news for Senegal's infrastructure development! The Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) has issued non-payment #insurance to Société Générale to finance the construction of key highways in #Senegal! This provides insurance support for the €259 million Murabaha facilities to #finance the construction of the Dakar-Tivaouane highway and expand the Cyrnos-Seven Up road. These projects will: • Boost #transportation networks within #Senegal • Promote #economic growth and regional connectivity • Improve the quality of life for Senegalese citizens ICIEC CEO, Mr. Oussama Kaissi, emphasized the importance of this partnership for sustainable development in Senegal. On the sidelines of the event, ICIEC CEO, Mr. Oussama Kaissi, hosted the 3rd Board Meeting of the #International Federation of Takaful & Islamic Insurance Companies (IFTI) as ICIEC is a member of the Board. ICIEC and the Export-Import Bank of Malaysia (MEXIM) have partnered to provide Islamic #insurance solutions! We are pleased to announce that ICIEC and MEXIM signed a Memorandum of Retakaful Arrangement (MoA) to #collaborate on coverage of Shariah-compliant #trade finance products. The MoA paves the way for collaboration and will leverage ICIEC's capacity to enable exports of Malaysian goods and services to new markets and to boost intra-OIC trade and #investments.
