Nigeria has one of the world’s highest rates of power outages and one of the lowest levels of electricity generation. For many, diesel generators are the norm. But they are expensive, unreliable, and polluting. Our $3million investment in Arnergy Solar Limited is helping change that. Arnergy is providing clean, affordable solar power for SMEs and households across Nigeria. With more than half of their customer base made up of SMEs, Arnergy is helping them reduce their energy costs, improve productivity, and operate more reliably. And at that same time, it’s helping reduce emissions to support Nigeria’s shift to a more sustainable future. Watch our new video on how Arnergy is powering progress in Nigeria. At the Mission 300 Private Sector Consultation, hosted by the The World Bank Group, government and business leaders will come together to explore how to mobilize more private capital for energy access across the continent. The goal is ambitious and urgent: connect 300 million people in Africa to electricity by 2030. This isn’t just about power, it’s about enabling hospitals and schools, boosting industrial development, creating jobs and opportunity while powering economies at scale. Public funding alone won’t get us there. That’s why conversations about financial solutions to unlock private investment are important. We’re proud to join this important dialogue. Because investing in energy access means investing in Africa’s future. #Mission300 #EnergyAccess #PrivateCapital #AfricaDevelopment #BII #CleanEnergy #BIIImpact #SustainableDevelopment #EnergyForAll
